Dedicated to the memory of Iain Nicholson

Iain was loved by so many of us - this page is a place to contemplate his wonderful life.

We have uploaded some of our favourite photos of Iain, we hope you will enjoy them.

The four charities listed are those Iain named in his will to receive a portion of his estate. If you would like to make a donation then we would ask that you choose the charity which appeals most to you - they each represent an important part of Iain's life.

Iain's cremation will be taking place on Thursday 4th February. Whilst it is not possible for everyone to be there, perhaps you could spare a minute at 11:30 to reflect on your own memories of Iain. We intend to hold a celebration of his life once gatherings become possible again, and will look forward to seeing you all then.

Thoughts

I was so lucky to have Iain as a brilliant brother in law and a friend . He was the most gentle man I have ever known and we had such good fun. I miss him very much . Love to you Iain you are in my thoughts and prayers xx

Lots of lovely happy memories of Iain as we joined SVD at the same time in January 1991 when we trainees were regarded as the bad boys scornful of some of the office archaic practices although we freely embraced other traditions such as the long liquid fuelled lunchtimes. On moving to Nottingham later that year Iain freely shared the trauma of the restoration of his beloved MG and persuaded some of us to go running with him at lunchtimes around Colwick Park. We didn't see much of Iain after the first few yards as he elegantly loped off into the distance leaving us puffing and panting. Such a lovely man to know . Barry Roland
